Amanda now works in the Corporate Department of the Plymouth office. |

Outside of the office Amanda loves to spend time with her young daughter. When time allows she enjoys running, horse riding, camping, reading, snowboarding and visiting family and friends.

Andrew joined Condy Mathias after finishing his studies at Tavistock College in the summer of '97. He started his Accounting Technician course in the Autumn of that year and completed it in February 2000.
Andrew currently manages and prepares a variety of jobs including individual client returns and financial accounts for smaller businesses.
Andrew is also responsible for ensuring the IT Software used in the Tavistock & Plymouth offices is up to date and working correctly. |

Andrew is a keen Rugby player and enjoys the social side that it entails; he is also the Treasurer of the local rugby club. Andrew currently lives with his fiancée in Tavistock. |

After a dramatic career change in 1998, Andrew spent 3 ½ years training with another firm of Chartered Accountants in Plymouth before joining our Corporate Department in January 2002. After a number of years combining his work with his studies, Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant last year, and recently made the step up to Corporate Manager. |

When time and energy allow, Andrew enjoys a full and varied social life, going to the theatre and cinema whenever possible. He also has a keen interest in a wide variety of sports, generally from a spectator's point of view, rather than participating! |

Barry was a partner for nearly 13 years in the London firm with which he trained and subsequently left for a full time career in commerce with one of their clients. He spent the next 7 years helping to grow two manufacturing groups which were both sold to a then FTSE 100 company. After 5 years living abroad he returned to the UK in 1990 and took up the challenge of returning to work within the profession.
Since February 1996 Barry has acted as a consultant to Condy Mathias taking a keen interest in their farming clients and in their clients in the Launceston area, acting as a client manager for a number of them. As such he offers support on all aspects of accounting and taxation work and is able to bring to bear on clients' problems, when relevant, his own experiences as a businessman.
Barry has a particular interest in farming including diversification schemes which most farmers must now consider to remain viable. |
| Outside work: |
Barry became a partner during 2002 in a local business which has recently repositioned itself with a view to becoming established as a major supplier of used and antiquarian books sourced through the Internet. He is keenly interested in local, social and family history and is a long standing member of The Devonshire Association.
He has a partner, 4 children, 4 grandchildren, an aged mother, 3 brothers and 1 sister and enjoys all the many and diverse pleasures and problems that come with them! |

Chris joined the firm in May 2000 and has her own portfolio of clients. Her main areas of client service are the preparation of Soletrader and Partnership accounts and tax returns.
Chris is also the main Sage Instant, Sage Line 50 and Quickbooks advisor, who provides assistance in the installation, setting up and training of the software packages. She also provides telephone support for adhoc trouble-shooting problems. |

Chris has a wide variety of interests including Latin and Ballroom dancing, walking the coast path, camping, surfing and cycling. She is an avid Plymouth Raiders Basketball supporter, enjoys socialising and also has a keen interest in wine tasting!!

Originally from Scotland, Dacia retrained in accountancy during the late 1980’s, gaining membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians. Following 2 years with another firm of Chartered Accountants in Plymouth, she joined Condy Mathias in 1990 and is now a manager within the Small Business Section. Dacia is experienced in all areas of accountancy and taxation, and her client portfolio consists of an interesting variety of sole trade and partnership businesses with whom she enjoys building good working relationships.

Outside of the office, Dacia likes to be outdoors as much as possible and particularily enjoys walking her boxer dog, cycling and swimming, together with the more sedentary pursuits of reading and pub quizzes. More recent interests are ballroom and latin dancing classes and watching Plymouth Devils Speedway. |

Lesley started her training with a two office firm in West Cornwall, before moving to Plymouth to complete her qualification with a well known local firm which subsequently merged with Thornton Baker.
She joined the Tavistock office of Mathias & Co towards the end of 1987 to head the management services department, and amongst other things was responsible for dealing with cash flow projections and business plans in order to assist clients raise finance for expansion.
Currently she handles a wide variety of matters for clients as well as the traditional tax and accounting compliance work.
Her client base in the main consists of professional partnerships, family companies and charity based organisations. |

Outside of the office Lesley is actively involved with the local Women's Institute and has for many years sponsored a child in the third world through Action Aid. She also enjoys cooking, entertaining and flower arranging. |

Vivienne worked for a small accountancy firm for 11 years, and during that time she studied for her ATT through a correspondence course.
Vivienne joined Condy Mathias in 1997, and currently manages a variety of small businesses, mostly unincorporated. She enjoys the variety of work in that each client's financial affairs are unique, and she is glad to be able to provide a complete accountancy and taxation service. She particularly likes the tax aspect of the work. |

Vivienne is married and has two grown up sons. She is involved in a local church where she is the captain of a Girls' Brigade Company. She enjoys dancing, swimming and going to the theatre. |
